Ultrafire WF601A has arrived.

Fenix L2P competitor, at half the price.

Very nice torch.

Fits nicely in hand.

X axis divisions are 30 mins each.

Min useful illumination = 8.0

Direct comparison of illumination output as measured with Lenin 4 light meter

It is brighter than L2P, giving RT only 30 mins less, for nimh and Duracell Plus's, as you would expect, brighter for less time.

Approx half stop brighter than L2P.

Fairly constant output for 3.5 hours nimh, 2.5 hours Duracells, then dips sharply.

For half the price, I'd say a good buy.

Actually, it's an excellent buy.

"Cegasa Alkalines on offer, 10p each UK !!"
Where, how? Sorry I might be being a bit thick.

Also do they really include p&p in the prices?

Thanks

Just for clarification, these measurements are on an EV scale which is a logarithmic scale, so a reduction of one unit (e.g. from EV 12 to EV 11) means that the light has gone down 50%. That's why the run time curves look flat compared to the typical linear scales like FLR uses (although the L2P IS that flat in a linear scale, as well).

Reverse clicky, just got mine today, I`m very impressed, very bright, perfect beam, useable spill, no battery rattle, stays on when you hit it off the table, accurate machining, looks to my eyes almost perfect white, just a hint of green in the centre of the spot. well worth a tenner. the clear dome on the emitter feels like its made of silicone rubber, its all squishy, pretty cool.

The photos on daes site make it look too long but its not, feels good to hold.

Copier, how does the size compare to a minimag? I'm wondering if this is comparable or better then a TerraLux TLE5 minimag.

And by tenner, you mean 10 pounds, right?

10 pounds yes. I havent seen a minimag in the flesh for about 5 years and my memory is crap but i`m sure its a similar size.the dimensions are on daes site but the body isnt much thicker than the batteries.

It measure the same as a minimag. About 5 or 10mm's longer. Sure put's out nice white light.

Cool, then it'd fit in a Nite Ize Pockitz. Since it's cheaper than the price of the TLE5 alone, I'm thinking about this as a 3rd EDC option next to the FenixL1P, and pimped Q3.

A word of advice, if your using the supplied lanyard put a little heat shrink sleeving over the metal crimp in the lanyard as the edge is sharp and causes scratches around the r in the engraved ultrafire logo.

Silver would be good for my tool box. Scratches won't show as bad.

Hmm, can these be opened up to replace the led? I'm thinknig a SX0H would be nice upgrade.
