Lantern option - Good for side emitting light
Reflector - Good for projecting light forward

That's a good idea. I've thought of using a SE for a lantern, but as you point out, with a light like that you could uses it as a regular flashlight too. I just wish they made a AAA version of it, since I like small lights.
