I\'d like some empty PR bulb bases... where to find them?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some empty PR bulb bases. I know, I know - get them from burnt out PR bulbs, etc.

But I don't have any/enough of those on hand and don't want to buy good bulbs in order to break them - it seems wrong.

So... Can anyone help me find a decent source for naket PR bulb bases?

Hi Rothrandir and StuU,

Thanks for your suggestions. I have a couple of questions...

1. What particularly did you do to get the flange to work on the 7/8" dowel? Are we talking about a turned-down section for the body?

2. A similar question for the copper plumbing fittings and nylon washers - how is the conductive flange accomplished?

I'd love a description, graphic, sketch, origami, photo, whatever...

jeez...i didn't even think of that!

i use them in *ag mods and the don't use the flange thing.

what do you plan on using the bases for? if you're going to replace them with leds then crush away...you won't need regular bulbs anyway

Get some 1/4" copper plumbing fittings and nylon washers....makes a super bulb base with much improved heat-sinking abilities.
