I just received a new 4AA7LED module for my failing Propolymer light. No charge, thanks Streamlight.

One of the LED's had failed. I've had it 2-3 years.

This was one of the "second" generation models, which was also overdriven. Some one, more knowledgable than I, can pin down the mAh stuff.

I REALLY liked this light, as it was my go to WORK light, at close range. Under the hood, tractor stuff, etc. Very long run time, brighter than all hell.

It's probably been through four battery changes, so maybe 20+ hours of use.

I was sitting there thinking I might not change the module, as the one with only one burned out LED couldn't be that bad.

Changed it anyway, in a dark closet.

WOW !

The new module with proper resistance was easily twice as bright, as the old.
Don't need a lux meter for the difference.

The other LEDs had degraded severely.

I have a couple of lights that I compared with the new (old) 4AA7LED when I first received it several years back.

I went back, and compared the brightness with these other (seldom used) lights, and that backed up my impressions.

Anybody want a "slightly" used 4AA7LED module ? Na, you don't want it.
