TW4 question

A couple of questions about this set-up:

Can the KL4 head work as well on an E1L body as it does the E1e body? If so, then it seems wise to buy an entire E1L (with the KL1 head) and then be able to switch / choose between throw and spill... Am I thinking correctly?

Where can you buy the 2-stage tail for this config -- and will it work on both the E1e and the E1L?

The E1E and E1L bodies are identical except for the model name engraved on them.

I have read in several posts recently that the 2 stage tailcaps for the E series are out of production and will be found on the B/S/T forums.

There's a thread here somewhere that tells how to 2-stage mod the switch. I did it months ago and it works great - plus it saves a lot of money. It uses one resistor.

Here's that thread for the 2-stage tail mod. Note that the clickie will then only select the level, and on/off will be accomplished by twisting the tail or head.

i would say the E1L would out throw the E1E by a significant margin. the new E1L's come with a TIR collimator optic which collects all possible light and throws it out as a laser hotspot. check quickbeams sight for some beamshots
