I'm contemplating whether I should get a MagLED or simply solder a new emitter to my TLE-5. I have an extended bezel on my MiniMag so I already have an improved reflector (McR20) but the emitter that comes with the TLE-5 is a crummy, blotchy, floody mess. One key issue that comes up, of course, is the value of getting a decent emitter over simply upgrading to a better light.
Has anyone determined what bin is used in the Minimag LED?
