Quickie easy Mag LED heat sink

This is a quickie fix for the Mag LED heat problem. I took a piece of 3/16 aluminum and turned it down to fit just inside my 3C Mag. Then I drilled a hole in the middle just a little smaller than the bulb retainer and pressed in the retainer. I drilled 2 small holes on either side of the retainer so I could use a pair of needle nose pliars to tighten the retainer. All my Mags are using a camless reflector. If you want to keep your cam, you'll have to come up with another plan.







I ran the light while watching the temp with an infra red thermometer, the heat appeared to transfer to the body very well. For a simple mod, I am really impressed with how well it works.
