Kroma + 1-Cell Extender + 2x17500 protected?

I wanted to see if anyone had experience running the Surefire Kroma with a 1-cell extender and 2x17500 protected cells. The light SHOULD work; I was thinking this would provide additional runtime as well as add a little more length; a Detonator would add more grip possibilities.

I may try it out tonight.

I was always concerned about putting in 2 x RCR's for the increased voltage. I have heard that these run fine on the RCR's, but I never saw a definitive answer on this.

I would hate to fry a light that expensive. I might want to bake it but I would never want to fry it :grin2:

On this thread according to LED61 a 17670 might be a better choice.

Yes, I added a detonator and ran 2x17500s without an issue. A 17670 also works.

Kroma + 1-Cell Extender + 2x17500 protected?
