I've had this thing for about eight months now as an EDC and noticed crud building up inside the end cap. So I figured I'd re-grease the seals as well and I got some silicone/plumbers grease.

Two of the "parts" come off easy--the end cap (where the button is) and the whole head screws off easily, but the head appears to have another seam in it as well but I can't get it unscrewed however. Is there a trick to this? Do the seals in this part need to be checked at all?,,,, The rear part of the head is round and the front has.... 5 flats, spaced equally (and wouldn't ya know it, I seem to have misplaced my pentagon wrench set...).

The bezel is sealed, and you shouldn't open it unless you're intending to mod the light (SureFire applies some kind of loctite in the threads at the factory). The only seals you should need to clean and re-lube are the O-rings at both ends of the battery tube.
