First of all, I'm new here, so I apologize for my lack of knowledge about a lot of things. Just trying to learn. I have a 6 D cell mag. that I would like to mod into an led light. I know a little bit about soldering, capillary attraction, etc, but, absolutely nothing about electrical resistors, ohms law, and stuff like that. If someone could point me to a past post of mods for those lights I'd appreicate it greatly. Thanks...

If you want an really easy conversion to LED, do a search on TerraLUX MaxStar5. It's good quality "drop-in" and has regulated light output, stays bright as you continue to leave it run. Many others dim due to heat build-up.

If you can change a light bulb, you can do this upgrade.

One could even get a 4D 3 watt bulb and eithe ruse dummy cells a regulator or a resitor to lower the output of the 6 cells.
