It is common to have mismatched coloring, as the HAIII has a lot of variability in the color. I haven't seen quite as much contrast as you show, but I would say its "normal". Know what I mean?
Edited to add: it doesn't look bad with your two-tone S&W.

I like the contrast on it too.
You won't notice it at all if you are shooting .357 Magnums out of that 12 oz. Scantium S&W though.

Shooting 357's out of a 12oz scandium revolver is ummm different. Last time I shot some it wasn't that bad...then 3 days later I could feel a deep bruise where the back of the grip hits my palm.
I'm thinking the revolver puts out more lumens.:rock:
