surefire warranty

scenario---

if surefire received a light and considered it had been modded opened up etc etc.

would they still offer to carry out repairs at a cost to the owner of the light.

then if they did do the repairs would it be warranty reinstated as they had restored it to factory spec....if you get what i mean.

anyone have experience in this scenario???

If you're honest and upfront with them then they can be more forgiving of your little experiements. I don't think mentioning CPF would help.

It's a risk you take if you modify, or purchase a modified product...

Probably easier for SF to strip the light re ano. it then put new stuff in, I doubt they would warrant it but it doesn't hurt to try.
