KL3 HEAD MOD

Has anyone put an SSC P4 emitter in a KL3 head and will it work? Also are there any reflectors that fit this head?
If anyone has done this..what are your impressions?
Is there a noticable increase in output with the optic?
How does the beam look with a reflector? What size(part #) did you use?

Its going to be using a Cut McR38 reflector w/ a SSC P4 U

I had one before with a Lux I and It was pretty nice just not enough output.
It has a nice hotspot with some nice fading sidespill.

Do a search for KL3. Use the CPF Google Search functtion. Also search for Seoul P4. Check mod forum, as milkyspit has done some KL3 mods. Sometimes you just have to look around yourself.

That said, the Seoul P4 mod to KL3 would probably work with the optic, or a switched out reflector. You could expect about 100% improvement in light output, over the stock KL3 lux III. Increased output will always improve throw, using the same optic or reflector. I have had two of my lights modded for Seoul P4's, and one with Cree P4. The results have been spectacular.
