If you compare the LEDs to a car head light how would it compare??? May be if i ask it diffrent way. How many Lums does a car head light put out???
If i use the charging system of a car which make about 14.5v How do i find out what i need to wire the led in??? Can i just add 4 LEDs togher??? How would the system handle the change in charging Voltage???
Is there a place that sells Voltage regulators that can run a few LEDs???
Last Q where can i find adopters to control the light spread??? I hope i dont ask too many Qs.

What kind of LED's ? As far as I know an array of 4 LEDs of any kind so far can't compare with the headlights of a car. (10 for crees, maybe)

Maybe 20 Cree I think.

Cree gets 100 Lumens, while car headlights are often over 2000 lumens.

Hi Dark. I had in mind the 5w cree LEDs. But if i would need 10 of them to get same kind of light ..... it might not work then.

a standard HID headlight produces 3200 Lumens. if you go with a 6000k color bulb you will drop to 3000 lumens.

i would stick with the LEDs for the flashlights then. For everyday i find the one 3w led to work great for me.
