Hello all,
Just wanted to ask your opinion on different lens (or window) options. Specifically, it seems that two things that a LEO would want out of a light are brightness and durability (in the event that said light needs to be used as a baton--and because it probably gets tossed around quite a bit). High brightness = high heat, and requires moving into the realm of glass lenses. However, glass lenses then cut down on the durability of the light. I know that borofloat lenses are more durable than UCL (though maybe not the shock-isolated ones?). But is there any glass lens solution available to get more durability than the boro? I guess it's particularly important with relatively wider-diameter window on the lights that most LEOs carry. Just looking to hear everyones input/experiances with the durabilities of the different lenses out there. Thanks....
