Any modders/machinests built an extension for Arc LS's?

With more and more Arc First Runs and LS's being converted to a Flupic circuit it seems that an extension for use of a 17650, or 17500 would be worth while. To maintain modest size an extension that would allow use of the 17500 would be ideal. Body diameter (battery holder) might preclude the use of use of a protected 17500, or 17650. If there was a complete body dedicated to the larger diameter 18500 , or 18650 runtime would be greatly enhanced. When I say body here, I mean the battery holder.

Any thoughts on this? The LS3 was set up for two CR123's, right? Maybe a twisty body could be cut down and threaded to accept another body.

Thanks Migs, any idea where I could find one? I do have a skinny 2AA holder, two of them in fact, one twisty and one for Kroll. Trade someone? Maybe I will do a WTB/WTT.

:D I have one. :D I bought it with your same idea in mind, and never got around to implementing it.

No 18xxx bodies can fit Arcs (or else some tube-walls
would have to be paper-thin). The fatty Arc LS AA tube
CAN be bored out to accept 14670 =OR= 17500.
17670 will NOT fit.

I did some research on this already some thime ago.
This might be a very interesting thread:

My generic unprotected 17650's will fit into the bodies of my Arc LS's. Of course not long enough, so maybe a fatty 2AA tube would work with 17650's. Actually I like the idea of 17500's to keep the length down, and you are still getting pretty good runtime, better than dinky RCR123's. I still like the idea of having an extender made up so I can attach my new MOFO clilcky, and run 17500. Cutting down one of my twisty bodies, or a Kroll body? Anyone do this work?

Still wondering if we have a machinest who could cut down and rethread one of my Arc tailcaps (probably clicky tailcap, as it is longer). Please PM. I will keep communication confidential.

I hogged out a 2AA Clicky to 2x123 for Milkyspit a couple of years ago, the metal was so thin that I broke through while tightening the tube to the head. It is just as easy to machine a tube from scratch, but of course matching the anodizing afterwards is the real challenge.
