Batteryjunction wants too much for shipping to the UK
I wanted a Terralux P4 MiniM*g dropin, they wanted $24 odd for dropin and $20 for shipping.
Might be cheaper to get it shipped to UnForgiven then to me.

Fluke, ordinary USPS parcel shipment from the US is now around $ 20. There's not much anyone can do.

An alternative is to buy your torch in Hong Kong from where the mail is much cheaper. Delivery is less than one week.
If you Google "Surefire Hong Kong" you find a number of sellers.

I find it strange that its $20.
When I had 2 Nuwai 2 AAA's delivery for under $5.
My Hocus Focus for $11.
Fenix ship out for a couple of $.

Do I really want to trust the Hong Kong Surefires ??
Bad taste in my mouth about the Hong Kong Panasonic CR123's.

post a WTB notice and have a cpf'er mail you one.

how ever insured mail is $24, so not worth it. if you take risk of loss, then shipping is more like $3-4, without box.

not that hard to find a used 6P in mint condition...

Help please.

yup.. that's an excellent deal. but only if you're in USA.
add overseas shipping and the deal goes away.

looked in gun safe and found a unused 6P in mint condition.
no batteries, stopped shipping lithium cells especially overseas.

$50 shipped to UK via usps, no insurance, no tracking, no box, you take risk of loss. please PM if interested.

SOLD....

since you are going for a dropin LED. it's best to bore out for 18650. add $15 if you want 6P bored out (sorry not boring out any more lights) SOLD...

try LA police gear. They have a 6P & 6 batteries and free shipping for $56.:twothumbs

That's funny, on Saturday I shipped a 6P to Italy with it's original box, 2x SF123A, and a Surefire holster, plus packing material via First Class International...for $10. Guess I got the deal of the century....

but was it insured w/tracking? it's cheap to ship overseas without insurance or tracking. most times $3-4 for a light without box.

it's the tracking needed to satisfy paypal you actually shipped overseas. the only way to get that is via Fedx and one other high end carrier.

USPS while insured is not accepted by paypal.

I'm with ya, cy! That's not what the poster said, though. He said USPS from the US was $20 for ordinary Parcel Post. Just making the point that First Class Int'l is only half what Parcel was claimed to cost for the light in question!

Without getting into the issue of walking on eggshells to comply with Paypal buyer/seller protection, many outlets and individuals are charging our friends overseas 2-3x the actual cost of shipping, and passing it off as "oppressive shipping costs and all that red-tape." In reality, sending a package to Italy was easier than sending one to Virginia!! Many times these sellers are charging Fed-Ex tracked/insured type prices for basic USPS service.

Fluke, not a problem... I'll figure out a way to get you covered.

6P are easy to get, but the offer to bore out for 18650 is not.
please PM to figure something out.

For like $20 more than a 6P you can buy a SureFire6P led version.
It looks to be a very fine flashlight. They cost $85.00 at retail here in the USA.

Thanks for all the help.
I am now considering my options, I have had a few offers that knock anything I could get here out of the water.

I had one suggestion of getting a Superfire/Ultrafire 6P clone, but I am very suspicious of these clones.

Even thou the drop ins fit apparently.

What he said :twothumbs, though I'd also recommend checking the Sell forums - there seems to be a 6P every few days. As a buyer, I guess I should be quiet so prices don't rise.

PS - USPS First Class international to Uk runs $16 for 2lbs; no insurance. As Cy said, Priority International runs $24, but includes $65 insurance.
