I am a LEO from Canada. I am looking to replace my old pelican m6 xenon. I am thinking about the Pelican LAPD 7060 or Tiablo A8 or A9. Any other suggestions or which one should I pick? I want something that is bright and yet not too bulky to carry on my gun belt.

Thanks!

I am thinking of something over 100 lum and cree LED. I guess something similar to the two choices I have up there.

Or maybe out of those 2, which one is better?

7060 cause it won't freeze your hands up there :twothumbs Tiablo is very bright but its all throw, I think you need some flood for your job. There are other choices like maybe a Tigerlight.

I thought the Pelican 7060 is too bulky for belt carry. The Tiablo is the better choice all around between the 3 in my opinion since it is small, bright and takes 3 different types of batteries, but but take the time and check all of the different flashlights.
Also buy a Lumens Factory HO-9 lamp and 2 RCR123 3.7v batteries for your Pelican M6.

Yeah. I've checked out a lot of different lights and that's why I need help, there are too many choices. Also you suggested those mod to my M6, what differences will those make and where can I buy them? I saw some, and it says it's for surefire. Will the HO-9 fit the pelican m6? Also what about the heat? And runtime?

Thanks!!

:welcome:

Get the Pelican 7060 LAPD light. It comes with an open top holster and a closed is available. Its super bright and you just throw it on the charger without changing out batteries. The Polymer will help in the cold. having three switches makes it ideal for all LE purposes.
For $109 it is an ideal choice as a primary duty light.
It is a little bigger than most but will make a comfortable fit.

Good luck in your search :grin2:

I bought the Lumens Factory HO-9 and it is alot whiter & brighter, but runtime is only 30 minutes. http://www.pts-flashlights.com/products/product.aspx?pid=76-77-82-6254&tb=1
Your other choice is Wolf Eyes which are built heavy, but they are good: http://www.pts-flashlights.com/default.aspx

The batteries and charger I use, but are not protected is: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2086 Batteries
