Any battery issues with buying a Surefire Dominator that has sat for a while?

I have been looking at buying a Surefire 10X Dominator. I have found several new ones and several used ones, and wondered about the following: would there be any damage to the batteries if the unit had sat on a shelf for a long time (+1 year)? Or if someone bought it, charged and used it once, then put it up and is now trying to sell it 1 or 2 years later? I didn't know if it would harm the battery if it deeply discharged or anything because of lack of use. Thanks!

Well if it's unused on a shelf I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't get the life that it should from the battery just email surefire and they will most likely send you a brand new battery. As to if it could hurt the run time, yes it could. It may just me a little 10% hit or the batteries could (if unlikely) be half or less capacity. You just never know.
