How many milliamps does the Arc AAA-P draw from a fresh alkaline? And from a NiMH?

I'd like to know about both if at all possible.

His circuit drives the LED at 45mA. This hasn't changed between the CS and DS, and I think even the BS

45mA's is the supposed amperage to the led, not the mA's from the battery, or power consumption. I have asked this same question about the DS? My testing shows that the DS pulls about 270mA's from the AAA battery. I might be wrong, not considering resistance of my testing leads.

Runtime on a Energizer Lithium L92 AAA is somewhere in the 5-6 hour range.
Per the Energizer L92 Constant Current graph...

...a current of 200mA gets you into that 5-6 hour range.
Very rough estimate but that kinda jives with a 270 figure.

I have asked the question X2 in Arc forum re mA drain from battery with the DS. I tested with my DMM and get 270mA's. Seems like a lot but nobody will give me their figures, and yes you can test for mA from battery even though there is no tail cap end to get typhical amperage readings. We are talking current from battery, not current to led.
