Specifically, I'm talking about the CL1H v3.0 2SM (Q5) vs the Tactical M1 SE Q5.
I'm looking to buy exactly what these two flashlights are made to be: compact all-purpose flashlights with great throw. However, I'm suprised by the lack of information on the latest models of these lights.
First, a very simple question: what's the difference between Dereelight's digital and manual dropins? Are the manual ones fully regulated? If not, that drops the whole point of this thread, as I need a regulated light, and the digital version of the Dereelight has very poor regulation.
I am leaning towards the Dereelight so far because it seems that, with the third edition, Dereelight has finally come out with a refined product, without the blotches, irregularities, and small problems usually characteristic of a new product. Beyond that, it seems that it has a higher center lux, better water-proofing, and a tougher lens, besides being smaller.
However, LumaPower is known for more refined products, and in some posts is listed as having a higher center lux.
What I am most after in this thread is runtime. There is no data on the newest versions, and the data on the older versions vary hugely.
Does anybody have one or both of these lights? Any comments or opinions?
