What to do with a Surefire 7Z

I won a Surefire 7Z on eBay for $45 shipped. It is an older version Z2 or Z3 type. It is designed to run off of a NiCad B65. Well the B65 had to go which presented a problem since a B65 is about 5/8 of an inch shorter than 3 CR123's. Solution was 1/2 inch copper tubing, two penny's and a little solder. Presto a fairly low resistant 5/8 inch battery spacer. A Cabela's 9 volt turbo head was screwed on and three fresh CR123's droped into the tube. Cabela's turbo head is advertised as 180 Lumen but it is probably more like 140 or so. It has about the same performance as a M3 for $68.

Thats what I did too.
