The C2's are nice lights, yes they are bright but also have very narrow hotspot. If that's what you like, then also check out the M-C1.

Otherwise, for general use I would suggest the Alpha-C1 cos its quite smaller and the beam is wider and more usable for general use. There is also a 5-mode version of the Alpha-C1

I'd get WF-400. Useful beam - wide, smooth (OP reflector) and great throw (hotspot is still quite wide) better than C2 and Alpha with Q4 drop-in.

I have all the lights, and for throw i prefer WF-400 but C2 has larger spill. WF-400 has really good throw even better than C2 IMO

I have the 3 x WF-400 18650 2 mode version it has excellent throw good spill. the 2 modes are good i used it on high for 2 hours and it never seemed to dim. it is high > low and i would have preffered low< high, it has become the light normally carry instead of my 6p.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll pickup a WF-400 first and give that a go. Now if they come out with a Q5 HA-III then I will pickup one of those
