I am looking to build an emitter to use with a security camera, most of the Ir cameras just stack more and more small Ir leds to get any sort of range. I saw this:

and was thinking about building a light to get a tighter beam. I also will need a reflector to give about a 45deg beam. Hopefully something without a hot spot, as that tends to screw up the pic, as cameras have limited dynamic range, you tend to blow out the center while leaving the surround black.
