lol, hmmm...no idea what to say either...but the news always hypes stuff up...they talk about 4000lumens like its some kinda of scientific breakthrough (from previous article)

i wonder what this guys cpf name is

Nobody recognized "Maxablaster" in the article?

I did and have seen the original thread many moons ago but a some have not. It is one of the brighter toys in the CPF world.

Isn't there also a thread where he was lighting up an observation tower also? Like a three mile range or something to that effect?

Ra's Maxablaster has featured in a number of articles recently, and there is a thread about the press coverage here, so I will close this thread and you can find out more using those two links.

Edit: a third link, posted by jugg2 above while I was looking up the others, shows beamshots of the Maxablaster.
