I know this web site isn't dedicated to weapon discussion like many others.
It is however the hands down the best place to discuss lighting.
Anyway, I thought I would post a few pictures of my duty shotgun's lighting system.
This is an original PILA GL2 with a coiled cable paddle switch and a Wolf Eyes Q2 module.
Plenty of light for the use intended, lots of side spill (a really good thing for a shotgun). One nice thing about the THIS coiled switch is that it has a side mounted standard forward click switch. In the event a constant output of light is needed I can run it in constant on mode.
I run it using primary CR123's as I don't really have the inclination to charge a 18650 in this application and because I don't carry a car charger in the patrol car.
Purposely photographed in an attempt to emphasize the lighting system.
Don't ask about the white tape on the bezel, it was added to protect the finish when I was mounting a PILA red filter to the head (they use a screw to mount) and I just left it there.
