I have a 2D mag with three Luxions put together for me by ModaMag a few years ago. 6 AA and a pot to adjust the output. A great light but naturally I want more.
What would it cost to update to 3 Q5 Crees?
What would be inolved?
I don't think I could do the work myself as I am a klutz.

The other alternative would be the Romisen RC-T5. I don't need both.

Thanks

New Leds (stars or emitters)
New Reflectors (old ones wont work)
New Heatsink (or machine it flat for Crees)
Maybe a new Driver if its epoxied in good

Put this light in the glovebox/trunk and it will be there when you need it.
Then buy another.
And remember a Romisen is good for what it is, but its not a ModaMag.

Do both! Modify your original, and buy a second as well! (It's the CPF Thing to do!)

Hi Mike,

Sorry I missed your email. I recommend that you purchase a new one instead. Here's why.

1) It's much cheaper to mod a light that to upgrade one. Less labor!

2) You'll get two lights instead of one.

I would keep the existing light as a spare. That's why I have like 3-4 different lights laying around the house and still I can't find a light sometime.

Thanks.
It's odd I should get this today.
This morning about 3:30 I saw what looked like an open door and turned my light to high... Nothing. It stayed on dim.
Fresh charged batteries and I may have put them in upside down.
Any ideas?
