Was reading the recent Lumileds press release about their 5W LS being used in a surgical lamp. It's old news really, and somebodys already posted on that.
But what caught my eye was that the lifetime of this new lamp is rated at 50000hrs. Thats right, 50000, and not just 1000. Press release says the lamp is scheduled for release after Lumileds next shipment of LS in Q3.
The catch: They never specified if its in Q3 this year, or next year, or....
