Lost an older Surefire E1E a few weeks ago while spending a weekend at my cabin. Got a call this afternoon from the owner of a restaurant I stopped at that weekend. He told me that he found my light a "while ago" but didn't know who lost it until he opened it up to replace the battery this morning... He found that I put my name and phone number on a small label which I affix to each and every CR123 I use.

I thanked him profusely and appreciated his honesty.

I guess I will be going back to his place for more pancakes!

Congrats! Nice honest, owner there. Smart idea with the tag inside,
do you have your name in your bloomers?! (not that I really want to know :ohgeez:)
but a good happy ending

Um, in this case, it wouldn't be his bloomers that he'd tag..

Of course, the downside of labelling your batteries is that its easy to get caught if you don't recycle.
