Well now my old light dosnt seam bright anymore :mecry:

A can use a solder iron and if i dont understand some of the electronics ,,i know one who does

There is something about the reflector being made for the lumileds ,so i can not just put in a cree

Ohh jeah its glued together :sigh:

Swap the LED for a Seoul P4 U-bin. Well first step would be opening it. Try vice grips or similar.

Just make sure to keep the Seoul base electronically isolated.

thats a cheap knockoff of the SF 6P-Kind lights,
uses 2 CR123 batts, right?
so just swap the Licht Allembly to such one:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6090
or one of its brothers at DX.

Sure You can also mod the led itself. Saves 2 bucks for much work with the chance of failure
(but You would learn how to "emitter-swap")

I am nut sure if it uses a drop in (its glued together)
The reflector is pretty deep the beam is going from hot spot to flow very evenly ,,actually the beam is very nice ,,but not so bright (old technology )
run time is only about 30min before you can see a change
If it is regulated ,its not done very well ,,hmmm i think its time to get some heat to this light and try to open it

The body is very robust its my work horse light
