I am comparing my P3D Q5 led visually to my new TK10 i got from rob, and it looks different. The Tk10 is like silver or something, and the p3d q5 is yellow. Has the led its self changed ? perhaps a new revision? Whats new.

What you got was one of the newer Cree XR-E LEDs. I think that also means it was assembled in China.

Ok so something about phosphor, and assembled somewhere else, that sounds like a good thing to me, they would not devlove a popular led..

Its not a good or bad thing, its simply an advancement in the production process which saves phosphor by only powdering the emitter. Previous method had to powder the entire surface cos there was color fall off on the edges of the emitter when tried to be done this way. Thats all there is to it, saving costs.
