First: Are they as bright on 18650 as on 123's?

Second: Do thet REALLY run over 3 hours on High? I find that hard to believe.

No, the A9 is not as bright on an 18650. The A9 is optimized for a CR123 or RCR123.
It will probably run that long on an 18650 with diminishing output(gets dimmer) as the run proceeds.
If you are going to be using an 18650 then it's the A8 you want. It's optimized for an 18650. You can also use 2 CR123s, but not RCR123s with the A8.

Thanks. I see them new on ebay for slightly less than I paid for my new TK10. Seems too good to pass up.
