Has anyone tried running P7 Above 3A using DHS Heatsink? is it safe?

Thanks.
When my light was direct drive, it was running 4.1A on fresh batteries so I only ran it for under 1 minute at a time. After a few runs it was down into the mid-3A region and ran fine. I'm sure I was shortening the life of the LED but I think i'll be sick of the light before the LED ever dies. No change in tint either, but I did only run it for a few mins at a time. Now it has a tri-flupic but I haven't measured the current with fresh batteries.

I have a M@g with 3 D NiMH and a DHS heatsink running in DD. I did add a copper slug to the bottom side to add mass and draw more heat away from the LED.

It runs at 3.6 amps on fresh batteries, and I have been using it quite a bit in my shop with no problems. When I built it I ran it for quite a while to see if it would overheat. It didn't.

Cheap and bright.

It's my ***** light for now.
