I am interested in ordering this drop-in and lens kit:

http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=4465

What is the maximum voltage I could use without damaging the circuit? I want to use 2 x 3.7 LiIon if possible.

Description states:

"Features an evolutional 2.0~4.5V Boost-Buck Current Regulated Circuit"

Does that mean it can only handle 4.5V MAX? Or will it just run direct drive above 4.5V?

Thanks

If your hung on Lithium Ion, You could use one and then a dummy cell or two. It looks like 2 will be too much. if it goes direct drive above the board on 2, 7.4-8.4 will be too much for the led. You'd probably get better run time out of 3 nimh ( 3x d size=12-15000 mah at 3.6 volts) than 0ne lithium ( 7500mah d size ) and a dummy cell. you also might check your other options, there are alot of mag drop ins that are much brighter for that wow affect. good luck !
