Fraen Lens, for cree led - works with SSC P7?

Dear candlepower people

I wonder if one of you may be able to help, i'm looking for a wide angle lens, suitable for a SSC P7, and I wondered whether the Fraen (http://www.led-tech.de/en/High-Powe...Fraen-Lense-for-Cree-40°-LT-1008_106_110.html) might work?

I know its for cree - but i couldnt find a wide angle ssc lens!

any help would be greatly appreciated,

The P7 emitter is huge compared to a cree, theres no way it would fit that optic without some serious mods. Even then it probably wouldn't work properly. I don't think it's worth the effort. You're probably better off having a reflector drilled.

Any thoughts on where i can pick up a similar optic for a P7? (its for a bike light mod)

Fraen will be releasing a narrow beam and medium beam reflector solution for the P7 in October 2008.

Have not tried it, but worth a try (very cheap). Use a white reflector from a car and you may be surprised with the result.
