Hi, every once in a while, it would be extremely handy if I could accept a credit card payment. I do consulting work, and sometimes, it is very convenient for the customer to pay this way. So far, I have resisted this, but I am now finding a real need.

MyISP (fatcow.com) has a setup where I can setup a small list of items on an ecommerce site, and then pay a few to a credit card handling company to cover the transactions.

The payment cut (about 2.2 %) is not so bad, but there are also monthly payment minimums - in the range of $ 20 - 50 per month, if used or not.

Does this seem reasonable or are there other, less expensive options out there for accepting a credit card payment ?

Thanks

Harry

Thanks Carrot - I am aware of PP and it is a possibility. I would like to explore additional options as well. Accepting PP payments can be a great benefit as well as a challenge.

Most banks/merchant services providers will charge a standing fee. You might look into something like worldpay?
