I need help to find a good light. It needs to be bright enough to illuminate something a about 100 yard. If you guys could help me out and give me some specs that would be great. Thanks

Howdy light700 and welcome to CPF,
I'll give you a bit of recommended reading first:
https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/172991

That is the CPF weclome mat and it has LOTS of great information as well as links to LOTS of other great information. Read even a part of that and you will begin to get an idea of how to choose a good light for your particular needs.

Now, just to give you a quick jump start, copy and paste the following checklist into a reply along with your choices. This will give us an idea of how to get you started toward finding the right light:

And now, just to give you a couple of quick suggestions, check out these lights and tell us what you think:

And finally, a link to one of my favorite flashlight review sites:

Happy hunting for a new light!

Both of the lights I mentioned would cost you less than $125, including a charger and batteries.

If you are looking more for a light that is specifically designed to light up objects at a distance...... then you might consider this one:

Here is an independent review:

A rechargeable battery and charger for that light would cost another $25:
