does this light exist?

takes cr123s

normal size body like most surefire 2*cr123's

quality build

somewhere between 300-500 lumens

forward clicky

anything close to that?

Well, depends how you measure and all that, but there are a number of lights available or that could bet setup with a few parts to be in the 200-250 lumen range, and there are a number of P7 lights that are in the 500+ lumen range...

The WOlf-Eyes 6A P7 is rated 580 lumen, will run on 2xCR123s, and IIRC has a forward clicky.

The Eagletac T10C2...rated at 295 lumens is probably the brightest 2-123 light available now. It's an excellent light. The powerful spill is the most outstanding feature. Others have a stronger throw, but it's a great light!

Wow - that sucker is going to drain batteries pretty fast.

There are plenty of options at around 230 - 250 lumen, are you sure you need more than that?

i dont think any of us NEEDS another flashlight. but 200 lumen lights grow on trees these days so i'm looking for something that wont me outdated or obsolete in 3 months. i'm actually waiting for the invictus, but i'm wondering if its going to come out anytime soon. i'm guessing that the optimus will be released first early 2009 and then invictus later (maybe mid year). i just need some ideas of what my wife or family can get me for xmas so i dont get crap again. that's really what this is about.
