Tried search function, nothing came up.

basically, I have a minimag 3XAA LED version, and I was wondering if there were any mods for it?

Thanks! for your help, and to Flashcrazy, for getting me one..

Direct swap the LuxIII with a SSC-P4. Little soldering and paste, but fairly easy. Double the output with same runtime.

Oh, I forgot, there are more conservative things to do as well. I thought I saw a thread around here a while ago about replacing a resistor on the driver to change the drive level.

How do you get the whole driver and emitter out to play with?

Take the tailcap off, the batteries out, and remove the head.

When looking down at the LED, you should see some silver metal on each side of the LED.

Take a pair of small flat head screwdrivers and press gently yet firmly down. The pill will release and drop out the bottom and the black retainer will come off at the top.

I got it out using some split ring pliers. I will try to fit it into a standard size flange base , the driver and all came out.
I need it to fit in a standard base and reverse the polarity(if possible without POOF) for a special light I have that I cant reverse from the inside .
