I am sooooo jazzed!
Yesterday I got my Fenix TK11 (I'm using CR123A's for now)
and today I got my AE 20W Xenide  which is charging even as
I type.
Still waiting for my Nitecore D10 (which you guys recommended),
and my Pila GL4 w/ the 550 lumen lamp option.
Plus, I am expecting a whole bunch of cells and a recharger :)

Oh yeah, and I have the new Fenix TK40 (? cant remember, but it's
like 600+ lumens) on pre-order!

Now I can understand why you guys are addicted to these bloody
things, they are AWESOME!!

I took my new Fenix TK11 with me last night walking the neighborhood,
and tested it. Lighting up my neighbors yards and such. The AE goes
with me on my next walk

Question, I know most of you guys use "protected" cells. Can you
explain why?
I have read some complaints that they do not always fit in the light
or the charger. Is it REALLY that important to use them?

Also, what do you guys think of the Wolf Eyes Boxer 24W?
What are my options in the smallish HID catagory?

Congrats on you new lights, especially the Xenide20W. That's a very nice HID for the money!

Not a pre order thread but you can pre order it already at 4sevens:

https://www.4sevens.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_85&products_id=696

I suspect other online vendors already have it available for pre order as well.

Yep, there are a few online vendors doing preorders, but I got mine
at 4sevens.
What I like about this new model is that you get over 600 lumens from
plain ol' AA batteries (8 of them, I think). I think it will be great to have
at least one high output flashlight that does not use expensive cells.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I am very impressed w/ the Xenide 20W. Nice, bright and
powerful. Very well made.
I terrorized my neighbors with it when I took my evening walk last
night and was lighting up back yards a block away!
Now, I'm wondering how it compares to the wolf eyes 24W boxer!?
The boxer is much smaller, and I think you get an extra 300 lumens.

Do any of you guys have a Boxer, and love it (or hate it)??

Just do a search in CPF for "wolf eyes boxer" and you should find a few good threads discussing it.

Here are a few to get you started:

You can probably find more discussions on the Wolf Eyes Boxer in the Spotlights and HID Flashlights forum. :)

Hope these help.

Thanks much for the links
I am not having much luck using the search function on this
forum.
I am convinced that this will be my next buy :eek:oo:

Now, I only need to figure out which online vendor will give the
best deal and service.

Any suggestions?

Great choice on the Pila GL4 and Xenide, I think you'll enjoy both immensely.:D

For Wolf-Eyes it all depends on where you live. In the US, PTS has great deals.
