Thoughts on the new Lumapower D-mini?

I am looking forward to picking one up. I had the D-mini digital Q5...and think a 400 lm version with more spill should be a decent 18650 light.

im kind of turned off after seeing the light. I cant imagine that in my pocket. Im sure it would be amazingly bright for a 1 x 16340 light though.
Maybe ill just get the regular d-mini.
The picture with the 18650 tube seems almost as big as the MRV, kind of loses its palm aspect.

I have to admit, my first impression was not possitive. SHeesh, pretty unbalanced looking design.

After looking some more, and realizing that the light head is about the same width as the MRV (which is nicely sized) and that the light is much smller than first appearances indicate, I am intrigued.
I think I'll have to see one of these in person to appreciate it (or not). Not a beauty contest winner by any means, but the specs and overall capability (in a small package) are tempting...
