Hey everybody,

I was looking at the Urnabeam Freedom R2 (upgraded version of the Freedom P) to buy, but the specs on the website are not very specific. Does anybody own one? Can you guys give me some information on it? Such as, is it really as bright (250 lm) for as long as they say (60 min.). and what is the lumens/runtime for the low mode? Also, beamshots would be awesome!

Here's the light: http://www.liotec.com/store/Urnabeam.htm

I have searched but could not find much/what I was looking for on this light.

Thanks a ton in advance! :twothumbs

A search only reveals that some people own it. Not any info on what it's about.

The numbers don't seem right. 250 lumens for over an hour with one cr123? Either the runtime until nothing or it is no where near 250 lumens.

Thanks for the reply, Search. I think your right, 250lm for 60 min. on 1xCR123, it seems a little too good to be true. I think I'll hold off on this light until I can get some more info/opinions.

The main difference between the to models are:
Lanyard ring in tailcap
R2 led rated at 250 Lumens (at the emitter) The Q5 version was rated at 200 Lumens but I think that was a little understated
The Q5 AND R2 Beams are different beam tints
Different body style

Left side R2 with the slightly blue tint

I took this with one quickly so please excuse the quality

Thanks

Thanks, John, Very helpful! If you posted two pictures I can only see one, though. Could you tell me what the output and runtime is for the low setting?

Thank you very much! :twothumbs

The low setting is 50 Lumens or 20% of high so you should get about 5 hours runtime on low.

Thanks
John
