3 separate LED vs quad-die on the same LED?

how do they compare?

throw? spill? (depends on reflector or lens too right?)

heat generated? current drawn (with 2 x 18650 configuration)

i am trying to see pros and cons with go with multi LED vs multi die on the same LED

I agree with csshih; however, I think you'd be able to get more flood with 3 separated LEDs. Either setup would be great but I would go with single LED for most applications.

It seems like you are talking about the Eagletac M2 vs. the M2X. The M2X has 3 emitters, and apparently has noticeably more throw than the P7 M2X. Most people seem to like the tri-emitter setup better, since it seems like many more people purchased the M2X over the M2 (at least here).
