IR "jumper cable"?

IR \"jumper cable\"?

Is there something that I can use to help the connection of two IR devices (Palm IIIc and phone) without direct line-of-sight? I was thinking some sort of little fiber optic cable that I could line up with both IR ports? would the signal transmit?

I have done this with fiber optic cable. I just took one and put it near the in/out of one device and then near the other, it seemed to work, it was only about a 25 foot run around a corner and through a door. The fiber cable was from a piece of audio gear, not meant for what I was doing, but it did work.

that would be very cool, I think I will pick up a FO cable and give it a try. I just signed up for Tmobile Unlimited Internet via GPRS !
