Alas, time to sell my precious. If I weren't hard up for cash right now, I wouldn't be doing this
Here it is:
- Original run LS20, so runs on primary only (but you get longer runtime than with the newer ones that run primary/rechargeable)
- Smoother and warmer 3mm LEDs - the stock bluish, artifacty ones were replaced with smoother and warmer CS310 C0 bin 3mm's. They are the same output LEDs as in the LS27, but have less flux than the ones in the LS20 - which I actually prefer, because it gives a lower low which I like. Easier on the eyes when in darkness, but still plenty bright enough as a useful low beam.
- Upgraded high-beam LED: replaced with a newer model K2, '200' model I believe. Great warm beam, wider and punchier hotspot. Mod was done very well, no rattle at all and nicely centered LED.
- Boosted high output: the NG driver was modified to boost output from 400 and change, to 750ma - almost double the output. To my eyes, high is now pumping out (thanks to the K2 and the higher drive level) at least 160 lumens.
So, this mod (done by Milkyspit) takes care of two of my previous wishes for the LS20 - warm beams (both low and high), and more output. Voila, problem solved with some wonderful work by Milkyspit!
This is my baby and my really only good light left. But times is hard and it's time to move on =( There are some light wear marks, but it's still in very good condition.
Sorry, no pics.
Sale price includes PayPal and shipping priority. First I'll take it, takes it. $775 $750 $725 and it's yours (the mods cost me a good bit o' cash, as did the light itself - and took a while to get the parts and tuned to perfection. it's pretty much the perfect EDC light in my opinion!)
