Curious...
Can the A2 resistor'd tailcap switch be used on a single mode E series to add a low mode?

I tried searching for my answer and came up empty.

thanks

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Noooooooooooooo.

Longer answer: If you get the LX2 or A2L, the threads for the bezel are E-compatible but the tailcap is the same as the regular A2.

And just in case this isn't clear... this set-up will accomplish what you were asking about. In other words, a single-stage E-series head on an LX2 or A2L body+tailcap will give you a two-stage light.

Can anyone post a pic of an Aleph III, Aleph I or Pr-T head on the LX2 body/tail please?

I don't have a PR-T, but here are a few others...

PR:

A3:

Maxlite (just because):

And, a stock XR Can is too wide for an A19 to fit.

Edit: Ignore that last statement.
