Here is an excerpt from one of Peter's posts in the overlong thread about ls4.
"In tac mode, the automatic house keeping functions of the light are working. This includes low battery fall back, temperature protection and tint control."
Later I think Peter stated that fading was accomplished by pwm in order not to change the tint.
So my question is like this: What is that power of each pulse, and is it V or Amp regulated? Is it ONLY pwm-ed or do you also change the frequency, and/or power?
Isn't it so that the 1w luxeons are most efficient at about 350mA? If so, anything below that would best be pwm-ed (but still350mA), and anything over should be continous, am I right?
