Beautiful lights! Are there any fans involved, or do the big aluminum pieces inside provide enough cooling? Comparison beamshots would be a treat! Cheers, Jeff

I'd love to see them fired up also:poke:.

Great idea for old lanterns, good job. Never thought about UV led's in a lantern, or a laser for that matter.

How's the beam look on the top light & how did you work out a UI to control them?

thanks guys.

no fans, added aluminium and copper pieces seem to be sufficient. leds work with no noticeable dimming, even after 30min.
i will take pic of beam shots, as soon as i have a chance, and figure how to do it with my camera.
but the brightest mode on all of them are p60 26mm drop ins, 2 r2 rated at 230lm, xp-g q5 rated at 300lm. i assume most are familiar with them.

ui is pretty simple, 2 of the lights were mentioned here
https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/262913

the red one has original switch controlling p60 drop in, and rotary switch in the back that controls the rest of the leds.
