Checking in

Howdy all, new guy checking in.

I have always been a flashlight fan, but I had no idea so many folks have so much modding going on in the flashlight world.

I have a few weapon lights, some streamlight scorpions, a scion, a pelican M6, and a mag 4D vintage I think.

I am looking to convert them all to LED. All my lights run on cr123s (-MAG) so I'm pretty sure I will need to invest in a good solid charging unit to support this new hobby.

I thought it would be quick and easy to upgrade all my lights to hot led units, but apparently there is much more to it than just Google-ing drop ins.

Thanks in advance for any and all help in the future.

There are some very, very successful modders here and their experiences are always interesting to see. Browse and search and I'm sure you'll find a lot of help.

Welcome to CPF. I'm in the same boat as you, but I have a little head start.

If you're willing to snoop, read, take a few notes, put up with a few dead end leads, and tolerate the occaisional jerks who lurk around here (the modeerator clips their wings as needed), you'll love this site.

I haven't taken the plunge yet for major purchases, but I'm much more informed than I was several weeks ago.
