Has anyone ever taken apart a H501?

Well I've had my Zebralight H501 for a while now, and it really is a great light. My one tiny problem with it is that there appears to be something on the dome of the XR-E emitter, it is like a smudge, but also with a little bit of something dark brown on it. It dont think it really effects overall output, but sometimes it shows as an abnormality in the beam profile.

It isn't really a massive problem, but it seems a shame to let such a simple thing take away from such a great light. I was hoping I could take it apart, clean the dome and put it all back in again, but this seems very difficult without specialist tools.

I was hoping that someone might be able to direct me to a relatively easy, and safe way of dismantling the light without risking damaging it.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks, I read through the thread and unfortunately it looks way to complicated and risky for my comparatively rather basic modding skills.

It was interesting to actually see the internals of the light, but I really can not afford to risk breaking another light right now after the 'incident' with my D10 GDP.. :sigh:

Thanks for finding that thread though, it was pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
